Schiffini Celebrates a Century of Excellence with the Timeless Elegance of Cina
In 2025, Schiffini marks its 100th anniversary—a milestone that celebrates a century of innovation, craftsmanship, and Italian design excellence. Established in 1925 in La Spezia as a small naval carpentry workshop, the company has evolved with vision and determination into a pioneering force in modular kitchen design. Today, Schiffini continues to bridge heritage and innovation, setting new benchmarks for contemporary living with its commitment to timeless aesthetics and superior quality.
During Milan Design Week 2025, Schiffini honors one of its most iconic creations: Cina, a groundbreaking kitchen concept originally designed in 1986 by the legendary Vico Magistretti.
Reimagined for today, Cina retains the integrity of Magistretti’s original vision while being updated with state-of-the-art materials and modern technologies. A central feature is its distinctive stainless steel hood—a bold design element that redefined the kitchen space in its time. The signature recessed handle, crafted through a groove in the upper edge of the base units or the lower edge of the wall cabinets, forms a fluid visual line, evoking the elegance and simplicity of a champagne flute.
As Schiffini enters its second century, the brand is guided by the refined creative direction of architect Marco Costanzi, with a clear mission: to redefine the standards of kitchen design once again. Aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability remain the pillars of a brand that continues to shape the future of Italian design worldwide.
Cina will be showcased at the LG Electronics Group showroom at Via Manzoni 47, while Cinqueterre will be on view at Bredaquaranta, Via Fatebenefratelli 10.
